From the 7th till the 10th Oct CIT hosted the Bannwagon conference on Reid campus which was a huge success. This conference brought together over 100 delegates from Australian Catholic University, Charles Sturt University, City University Hong Kong, Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand, SunGard Higher Education (from Australia, Netherlands, UK and USA) and of course CIT to discuss all things relating to Banner, the Student Information Management System of used by all the organisations.

The theme of the conference was collaboration and the discussions and networking over the 4 days saw the commitment of cooperation between these organisations on a range of levels. This will include sharing of learning as all move to Banner version 8 in 2009.

Thank you to all presenters, delegates and behind the scenes staff who made the conference such a success. Thank you to SunGard for hosting the Dinner and to TouchNet for hosting the Thursday morning Brunch, which was voted one of the highlights of the conference (thank you Klaus).

We look forward to next years Bannwagon conference which will be hosted by Charles Sturt University.

In the meantime to further foster this collaboration and cooperation please sign up to the BAUSTRALASIA, the Banner Australia/New Zealand Discussion List. By signing up to this service you will be able to communicate with other Banner users in the region and receive regular updates and announcements from the Australasian Solution Centre.
