NSW apprentices must have a letter of authority from their employer. What if I don’t meet the entry requirements? Mature age students are defined as students who turn at least 20 during their first year of enrolment. Mature age students in the ACT Year 12 program are defined as students who turn 20 by 1 March of their year of commencement or as students who have completed Year 10 studies at least three years prior to the commencement of their abridged qualification but not yet completed their initial continuous secondary schooling (ie to the end of Year 12). Specific selection criteria are used to select students where there may be more prospective students than places in a program. They may also be used to select students for programs which have very specialised requirements. Where selection criteria apply they are listed for each program.
